William Burns Friestrom passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024. He was born on February 14, 2024. His life was a gift that will live on in us forever. William is the son of Tyler and Lauren Friestrom of Waukesha, Wisconsin, and is survived by his brothers James (7) and Thomas (5), and sister, Liliana (2). His paternal grandparents are John and Tammy Friestrom of Seymour, Wisconsin; his maternal grandparents are Jack Gebhardt and Deb McKeithan-Gebhardt of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin.
William was constantly surrounded by family and friends both locally and far away. Though some did not get the opportunity to meet William in person, the videos and photos shared of him have touched many hearts making his loss widely felt. William was the sunshine in the room. He loved his people so much. Will would light up when he heard a familiar voice, and he’d crawl straight up your pants leg if he wanted up. Once he got his first taste of food, your plate was never safe, and he had the best laugh if you tickled him right on the neck or the thigh. His love for his siblings was immense: a squeal of joy at Tommy playing peek-a-boo; drifting off to sleep to James singing Mr. Sun and; giggling while trying to steal Lily’s blankets. Will was always the happiest baby, smiling and healthy. During his short time here on earth, he was deeply loved by family and friends. William will forever be a treasure in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ the Servant Church on November 9, 2024, at 4:00 PM, preceded by a Visitation from 2:30 to 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, we are requesting books to be added to our children’s collection, because nightly reading is a family tradition. In the event that too many books are received, they will be donated to the Waukesha Memorial Hospital Nicu.
The livestream of William's Celebration of Life can be viewed on Saturday at https://www.youtube.com/live/F7RgkiLb54w?si=eEyfsyX5Rs-G27E3
