William Burt Gaillard

William (Billy) Burt Gaillard, age 90, passed away in Melbourne, Florida, on November 30, 2025. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 73 years, Carlene Campbell Gaillard; their daughter, Ann Campbell Shiller; their son, William Alexander Gaillard; and his brother, Alexander Lathrop Gaillard. He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Billy was predeceased by his parents, B.C. Gaillard and Ann Atkinson Gaillard.

Born in Panama City, Florida, in 1935, Billy was raised in Port St. Joe. He married his high school sweetheart in 1952 and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida. He went on to build a long and distinguished career in computer engineering.

Billy and Carlene traveled extensively, camping throughout North America and making cherished trips to Alaska, Canada, and Europe. They especially treasured spending their summers in Lake City, Colorado.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
