William E. Gallaher, IV, known affectionately to friends and family as Bill, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2024, in Danbury, CT. Born on March 25, 1959, in Peekskill, NY, Bill's journey through life was marked by his strength, intelligence, and a gentle spirit that made him beloved by all who knew him.
Bill's formative years were spent under the guidance of his late parents, William Gallaher III and Janet Rodak. His life was a testament to the values they instilled in him: hard work, dedication, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life. Bill's legacy continues through his children, Kimberly Gallaher, Jacklyn Lugo, and William Gallaher V; his cherished grandchildren Keira, Kash, Skylar, and Mia; son-in-law Mike Lugo and daughter-in-law Alexa Picone. He is also survived by his siblings Todd, Peter, George, and Steven Gallaher, and Richie Bonavita; and predeceased by his sisters Laurel Gallaher and Linda Graham.
After a brief time serving in the US Navy, Bill discovered his true calling as a Master Electrician. His hands could skillfully fix anything, a talent that earned him respect and admiration in his community. Bill's passion for astrology and stargazing often led him to share fascinating stories about the cosmos, igniting wonder and curiosity in those around him. A die-hard Mets fan, he found joy in the highs and lows of the game, and his unwavering support for his team was a hallmark of his character.
Bill's love for the outdoors was evident in his hobbies. He spent countless hours fishing, a pastime that provided him not just with relaxation but also with stories to pass down to his grandchildren. His vegetable garden was a source of pride and a reflection of his nurturing nature, as he tended to it with patience and care.
Those who knew Bill would describe him as a simple man who possessed an unintentional wit that could light up any room. His intelligence was matched by his handiness, and his gentle demeanor made him a friend to many.

The Valasunas Family

July 2, 2024

Bill was an awesome electrician and friend. He wired my entire 2400 sq. Ft. Poll barn & rewired many antiquated outlets in my house. Every time Bill was over we were constantly cracking jokes to a point where he warned me he could literally die laughing. He opened his heart & personal highs/lows of his life to our family. His personal touch was comforting and commencerating towards my own families frailties and pitfalls. We will truly miss him. May God Rest his soul. The Valasunas Family PS: Sorry Bill no cigs in Heaven.
