GALLOWAY, William A. (Bill), 92, of Louisville, Ky passed away on September 16, 2025.

Born in Hazard, Ky, Bill was the son of Henry and EmmaLine Galloway. His family moved to Falmouth, Ky in 1945 where he graduated from Falmouth High School. After graduation from Georgetown College in 1955, he served two years in the U.S. Army, then came to Louisville where he started an accounting career with Yeager, Ford and Warren, CPAs. He later became Treasurer of Gamble Brothers, Inc and ended his career with retirement from Hilliard Lyons as an investment broker in 1995.

Bill was an active member of Broadway Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon and on other Committees, while singing in the Choir for 30+ years. He was a member of Harmony Landing Country Club, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Lambda Chi Alpha, a national fraternity organization, and various other charitable and business entities in Louisville.

He was predeceased by his parents, brother Don Galloway, and his wife Mary Katherine Kelly Galloway (Kitty).

He is survived by his wife Shirley, his son Britton Scott Galloway (Nan) of New Orleans, his daughter Dayna Kay Payton (Andrew) of Louisville and his grandchildren, Jackson William Payton of Chicago, Illinois and Lila Kay Payton, of Honolulu, Hawaii. Also surviving are Mrs. Galloway's daughters, Susan Elizabeth Reed of Louisville and Lisa Anne Walter (Pat) of Lexington, Grandchildren Kaitlin Walter of Charleston, South Carolina, Andrew William Walter of Tampa, Florida, and granddaughters Summer Elizabeth Reed and India Rose Reed of Louisville.

Visitation will be Friday, September 26, 2025, from 10:00 am until service time at 11:00 am at Broadway Baptist Church, 4000 Brownsboro Road.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Broadway Baptist Church, 4000 Brownsboro Road, Louisville, Ky 40207.
