William D. Gamble, age 97, of Warsaw, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, in Warsaw, Indiana. He was born on December 3, 1928 in Dothan, Alabama to William S. and Annie Pearl (King) Gamble. He married Dolores Hawley on October 8, 1956 in Nappanee, Indiana. She passed away on January 5, 2007.
William graduated from Nappanee High School in 1947. He also worked for Clausing Inc. in Warsaw for 40 years. He loved His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and faithfully served Him for many years. Prayer was very important to him and was an encouragement to all his family.
He is survived by his beloved children, Anne "Beth" (David) Stafford of Warsaw and Christopher (Beverly) Gamble of Chicago. William was also a proud grandfather to Karlie Kilmer, Christin Jacobs, Malynda Moore, Matthew Stafford, and Jennifer Stafford, who brought him immense joy. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Dakota, Quinn, Parker, Penelope, Zelda, Kaleb, and Brodie, whose laughter and vitality he cherished deeply.
William's life was filled with cherished moments with family and a profound connection to those he loved. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his half-brothers William S. Gamble, Jr., Charles A. Gamble, and Daniel J. Gamble. Their memories remain close to the hearts of all who knew him, and his spirit lives on in the family he adored.
