Born in Warsaw, Indiana on July 15, 1942, Larry was the son of Merle and Frances (Timmons) Armey. He attended Lakeville Grade School and Junior High, and graduated from Warsaw High School with the class of 1960.
After graduation, Larry enlisted in the U.S. Army, proudly serving his country in Germany. Upon completing his military service, he began a successful career as a lineman, an installer and a cable splicer for United Telephone Company, retiring in June of 2000.

Larry lived a life marked by dedication and hard work. He was an enthusiastic lover of the outdoors, enjoyed farming for several years and took great pride in mowing his yard. He worked well with his hands, remodeling buildings and constructing new buildings and projects.
He collected antiques and especially antique automobiles, owning three at one time. He was a past member of the Cruisin Hoosiers Car Club and loved long drives with Linda in their antique cars.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Linda, and their sons: Phil and Tom Armey both of Warsaw; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Debra Armey; sister-in-law Connie Armey as well as several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph D. Armey in 2018, his parents and his brother, Roger Armey.
