Catherine Armey Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sullivan Funeral Home - Rockland on Sep. 30, 2025.
Catherine E. (Parks) Armey, 70, of Weymouth, went home to be with the Lord on September 26, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born to the late Raymond and Mildred Parks, Cathy lived a life marked by faith, joy, and steadfast devotion to the people she loved. A proud graduate of Rockland High School, she carried her passion for music and performance through her years in drum corps, marching with the Defenders of Rockland, Weymouth Drum Corps, St. Francis of Weymouth, and the Pembroke Imperials. The discipline, camaraderie, and joy she found there shaped her life and gave her treasured friendships and memories.
Professionally, Cathy excelled in the finance industry, where she rose to the role of Vice President in data analysis. Beyond her career, her heart for the Kingdom of God was evident in her decades of service at Living Word Church, where she had been a devoted member for more than 40 years. As the church's longtime Financial Director, she stewarded resources with excellence, integrity, and faith, leaving behind a legacy of both spiritual and practical impact.
Cathy's greatest joy was her family. She was the loving mother of Raymond Armey and his wife Priscila of Hubbardston, and the late Elizabeth "Liz" Armey. After the passing of her daughter Liz, Cathy, without hesitation, stepped in to raise her granddaughters, Olivia Armey and Mercy Candido, pouring into them the same love, guidance, and faith she had always given her children. She also delighted in her grandson Ryan Jenkins and her great-grandchildren, Romeo, Judah, Yuli, and Immanuel, who brought her immeasurable joy.
She was the dear sister of Patricia Halliday of Rockland, Mary Parks of Rockland, Margaret Gifford and her husband Jimmy of East Bridgewater, Theresa Patrician and her husband John of Abington, and the late Maria Felaccio. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and countless friends who were touched by her generosity, encouragement, and laughter.
Cathy's legacy extends far beyond what can be written. She will be remembered for her faith, her humor, her unwavering loyalty, and her gift for making everyone feel valued. To her family, church, and community, she was a steady light, a reflection of God's love that will continue to shine for generations.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Cathy's memory may be made to support her grandchildren and help with funeral expenses through the family's GoFundMe at: www.gofundme.com/f/cathy-armey.
Cathy's legacy of love, strength, and laughter will be remembered always by all who knew her.
