William R. "Bill" Geier

William "Bill" R. Geier, 86, passed away on August 27, 2024. He was born on June 26, 1938 to William Geier II and Margaret Geier in Evansville, Indiana.
Bill, affectionately known as the "Legend in Evansville," was a beloved presence in the community. He was a dedicated mail carrier for 35 years. Bill was also a successful entrepreneur, owning 14 different pizza places throughout his life, including the iconic Una Pizzas. His passion for the business lives on through his ownership of Una Pizza in Boonville.
Bill had a passion for cars, especially Corvettes, Lincolns, and Cadillacs, which were always part of his life. He also had a deep love for the outdoors, often found riding his Harley Davidson, feeling the freedom of the open road. Traveling was another joy of Bill's life, with Florida, St. Louis, Nashville, and Gatlinburg being among his favorite destinations. He was also an avid pool player, known to play every day, sharpening his skills with each game.
Above all, Bill loved his family more than anything. He cherished every moment spent with them, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Bill is survived by his children Bill Stephenson (Nancy), Robert Geier, Jacquie Harmon (Dave), Mary Lackey; his significant other of 21 years, Robin Phillips and step-children Taylor Phillips (Jeff), Ashlee Williamson, Jamee Allison (Jordan), and Brandi Rickard; grandchildren Jasmin (Joey), Billy (Sarah), Cody (Gena), Jeff, Matthew, Heather (Emily), Robert (Nikki), Keylee, Allyson, Ayden, Jalee, Avery, Jordan, Easton, Payton, and Lacee; 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; lifelong close friends Bobby Ball, Keith Winn, and Mark Vanwinkle; and numerous extended family and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Carl Morris and Margie McCaslin.

Visitation will be from 10am until the time of service at 12pm on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home with a burial to directly follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
