William Glueckert

William “Bill” Glueckert 

December 15, 1933 – September 16, 2025

 William “Bill” Glueckert, age 91, of Des Plaines, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025. 
Bill was the loving husband of the late Janice Glueckert. 
A devoted father, he is survived by his children Daniel (Sherry) Glueckert, Michael (Darla) Glueckert, and Laura Beason. 
He was a cherished grandfather to the late Michael, Matthew, Joseph, Shawna (Dominick), Sherise, Grant, and Lily, and a proud great-grandfather to Sienna and Dominick. 
Bill was the dear brother of the late Charlotte Hermansen, the late Violet Gattuso, and Diane Feulner. 
Bill honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. 
He lived a full and joyful life, finding happiness in many hobbies. 
He was a fisherman, and he was always ready to tell the story of the 90 Lb sturgeon he caught in Lake Wisconsin. 
He also loved bowling, playing bingo and poker. 
He enjoyed cheering for his beloved Chicago Bears even though they rarely delivered. 
He was often guilty (along with Grandma) of letting his grandchildren have chocolate ice cream for dinner. 
Bill’s kindness, humor, and love for his family and friends will always be remembered by those who knew him. 

Services will be held at Sax-Tiedemann on 9/20/2025, with visitation from 9am to 1pm. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
