William V. 'Bill' Gossard age 85, of Lima passed away Friday, June 17,
2022 at home. He was born Feb. 26, 1937 in Lima to the late Victor
Wilbur and Opal (Webb) Gossard. He married Joyce K. Rousculp Jan. 22,
1957 and she survives in Lima.
Bill was a member of Rousculp Church of Christ and had retired from Ohio
Department of Transportation. He was a skilled wood worker creating
custom pieces of furniture for family and friends. Bill also enjoyed
hunting and fishing. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed doing autobody
work. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1955.
Additional survivors include children: Mark (Connie) Gossard of Wapak,
Linda (Dave) Houchin of Lima; grandchildren: Stephanie (Oren) James,
Tyler Houchin, Jamie (Joshua Cousey) Bassitt, Matthew (Andrea) Gossard
and Amanda (Jennifer 'JJ' Thornberry) Houchin; 7 great grandchildren and
in-laws: Delores Gossard of Florida and Ronald Jacobs of Lima.
He was preceded in death by siblings: Glenn, John and Jack Gossard and
Ginger Jacobs.
The family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Bayliff & Son
Funeral Home, Cridersville and one hour prior to services at the church.
The memorial service will be held 10: 00 a.m., Thursday at Rousculp
Church of Christ with Pastor Kenny Rader officiating. Private Burial of
cremated remains will be at a later date in Willow Branch Cemetery near
Waynesfield.
Memorial contributions may be given to Rousculp Church of Christ and
