BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP William Leo "Bill" Green, 81, of Bethlehem Twp. passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, in St. Luke's Anderson Campus. Born on July 29, 1941, in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Jacob Adam and Marion Rose (Prout) Green. He graduated from Wilson High School, class of 1959 and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from Lafayette College. Bill was the Vice President of Alpha Lehigh Tool for 50 years before retiring. He served as the basketball commissioner for Palmer Twp. for one year. During that time, he introduced soccer to the Palmer Twp. Athletic Association. He designed the Fairway Park Baseball Field. In 1996, he was voted Volunteer of the Year by Bethlehem Twp. As a devout Catholic, Bill served as a eucharistic minister for St. Joseph's Church. He was also a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church. Bill was one of the only known survivors of Glioblastoma brain cancer in 1994. He lived a miraculous 28 years after his diagnosis and treatment. Always quick with a smile, Bill was a generous, kind, calm man, and a loving father. Besides his loving wife, Nancy, Bill is survived by his four loving children: Scott, Terri, Sharon, David, and their families. Services were private at that request of the family. Interment was at Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.).
