William "Billy" Green, age 55, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at U of L Hospital.
Billy was born on December 21, 1969, in Louisville to George and Linda Green. A lifelong resident of the city, Billy lived life on his own terms. He was a selective garbage picker by trade and by talent-he had a sharp eye for treasures others might overlook, and he made an honest living doing what he loved.
Billy was also known for his adventurous spirit and wasn't shy about rolling the dice-whether in life or at the casino, where he enjoyed playing slots and soaking in the thrill of the game.
Above all else, Billy loved his family. He found his greatest joy in the time spent with those closest to him, sharing laughs, stories, and memories that will be cherished for years to come.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Tonya Green; daughter, Brittney Green. He is survived by his children; Crystal Green, Justyn Green(Lesa), Maranda Ottersbach; brother, Brian Green; along with a host of grandchildren.
There will be a visitation held on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 12-5pm at Legacy Funeral Center, Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Blvd, Louisville, Ky 40215. Service will be on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 12pm with more visitation before from 10-12pm at funeral home.
