William Dale "Billy" Hall, 65, of East Palestine, OH, passed away Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, at The Hospice House in Poland, OH. Born March 6, 1960, in Latrobe, he was the son of the late Robert J. Hall and Doris (Milner) Hall. Bill was employed by American Airlines as an aircraft maintenance technician with over 40 years in the airline industry. Some of those years were spent at Pittsburgh International Airport, where he was known by his buddies and co-workers as "Captain Bill." A 1979 graduate of Greater Latrobe Senior High School, he was an outstanding football player. Bill was a kind, loving, and caring guy who would do anything for you. He enjoyed getting together with loved ones and friends and was often the life of the party. He loved camping at Miller's Campground at Keystone State Park. Other interests of Bill's included sailing, traveling, Steelers football, and great food. Bill became an avid country music fan and traveled with his wife, Nancy, to concerts and rodeos in Houston and Las Vegas. But Bill's greatest love was being with the people he loved most, and it is they who will all miss that beautiful smile, huge heart, and gentle spirit. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Nancy (Dibert) Hall, of Tomball, TX; his daughters, Audra Hall of Salem, OH, and Brooke Russell of Dallas, TX; a grandson, Carter Russell; his loving siblings, Bob Hall (Cathy) of Youngstown, Judy Dickens (Glenn) of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, Rick Hall (Valerie) of Latrobe, and Sherree Hall (Jill Martin) of Pittsburgh; an aunt, Phyllis Marks, of Latrobe; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026, at LOPATICH-BRINKER FUNERAL HOME LLC, 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A memorial service will be held at noon on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, in the funeral home. Private interment will be at Unity Cemetery, Latrobe.
