William E. Halverson, 93, of Fennimore, formerly of Prairie du Chien and Dodgeville, passed away Sunday October 28, 2012 at Fennimore Community Good Samaritan Center Fennimore. He was born on October 29, 1918 in Iowa Co. to Henry and Clara (Skews) Halverson. He was married on July 11, 1948 in Janesville, WI to Georgian Pearl Vaubel. He was a self-employed logger and a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served in WWII. He was a member of Blake-Semrad American Legion Post #134. He is survived by His wife Georgian Pearl Halverson of Fennimore.7 daughters Susan(LeRoy) Grunenwald of Livingston, Dianna (Robert) Thompson of Sheboygan Falls, Barbara(Frank) Wahl of Mazomanie, Noreen(Terry) Clark of Millville, Linda(James) Retrum of Holmen, Tina(Peter) Beeman of Elroy, Valerie(Donny) Burgus of LaCrosse, 3 sons Terry(Marilyn) Halverson of Lone Rock, Dennis(Nora) Halverson of Boscobel, Billy(Winnie) Halverson of McGregor, IA, 35 grandchildren, 71 Great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, a sister Alice Jones of Dodgeville, a brother Charles(Marion) Halverson of Madison, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 grandchildren, 9 brothers and 5 sisters. Services will be held Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Beeman-Patchak Funeral Home in Boscobel, with Fr. Miguel Galvez officiating. Burial will be at the Jackson Cemetery rural Mineral Point, with military graveside rites by the U.S. Army. Friends may call Thursday November 1, 2012 from 9:00 Am to Service time at the Beeman-Patchak Funeral Home in Boscobel.
