William Amos Hancock

William Amos "Bubba" Hancock, of Southport, Florida, was called home to be with his Lord on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the age of 59. He was born in Beaumont, Texas on December 4, 1967

Bubba had a lifelong love of fishing and a true talent for roofing and carpentry, with the ability to read blueprints with ease. He cherished his time with family, especially his nieces and nephews, and was known for his delicious cooking and enjoyment of grilling out. Bubba also loved relaxing with a cold beer, always savoring the simple joys of life surrounded by those he loved.

He is preceded in death by his father, William David Hancock; mother, Lonia Leona Hancock; sister, Susie Lyczskowski; special sister-in-law, Sue Hancock, along with several aunts and uncles.

Those left to cherish her memory are his sisters, Linda Dodehoff (Chandler), Brenda Pulliam (Ken), and Diane Wright (Bud); brothers, Ira Hancock and Will Hancock (Dana) along with his dog Scooter and his special neighbors Penny Dance and Angie Thompson and husband. He will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family

members.

Funeral services for Amos and his beloved mother, Lonia, will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Heritage

Funeral Home in Panama City, with Bro. Charles Key officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Following the service, Amos and Lonia will be laid to rest together at Lynn Haven Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Leland Peoples, Steven Peoples, Gordon Denton, Drew Faircloth, Charles Culpepper, and CJ Culpepper.

Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews.
