William Harte Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by North Dallas Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Jan. 11, 2024.
Our beloved brother William (Bill) Francis Harte, lV suddenly passed away on January 5, 2024. His loss is completely unexpected, it comes as a great shock and is deeply felt by his family and community of friends.
Bill was born on November 17, 1959, to William and Ruth Harte in San Jacinto, California. He was the youngest of 6 children – the baby of the family. In high school he lettered in tennis and was a foreign exchange student to Uruguay before graduating from San Jacinto High School. He was awarded a tennis scholarship to John Brown University in Arkansas and graduated with a BA in Business. In 1987 He received his MBA from Amberton University.
In 1982 he began his career with Xerox in Dallas. He returned to California in 1997 and continued his employment at Xerox for 20 years. In 2015 he returned to Dallas to work for Rexel. Bill found a new home at Rexel and excelled.
Bill was fun to be with and enjoyed being around his community of friends. He loved gardening like his father. and surrounded himself with plants. He cared very much about animals and always had a dog or 2 to keep him company. His family is overwhelmed by the outpouring of sympathy and love from the many friends that loved him. It is evident that he was a positive, influential and fun person in many people's lives. Many of his friends have referred to him as a "mentor". Bill was a special, kind and loving soul who touched others in many ways.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ruth and Bill Harte, a brother Robert Michael Harte, long time partners Robert Weaver and Michael McGaw, and his cherished dog, Skylar.
He is survived by his loving sisters Mary (Steve) Hewlett of Pasadena CA; Jeanne (Ernie) Florez of Temecula CA; Kathy Harte of San Diego CA; Sue Harte (Mike Davis) of San Diego CA, sister-in-law Fran Harte of Palmdale, CA, his many nieces and nephews, his special friend Alf Dang, numerous loving friends who were also his family and his beloved dog Grady.
