Bill (William)Herbert Henderson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, in Murrieta, California, at the age of 77. Born on August 20, 1948, in Long Beach, California, Bill lived a life filled with love, laughter, and an enduring passion for soccer.
For 46 years, Bill shared his life with his devoted wife, Mary, whose steadfast love and support were the foundation of their journey together. He was the proud father of Lisa (Steven) Fabregas and cherished Nicky Oakley, who was like a daughter to him. His joy extended to his brother, Mike (Janet) Henderson, as well as his two grandchildren, Sarah and CJ, and the blessing of seeing great-grandchildren grow. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews who treasured his wisdom, humor, and warmth. Bill was preceded in death by his son, Robert C. Henderson, in 2013.
For four decades, Bill dedicated himself to his career as a warehouse supervisor. Known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and compassion, he earned not only the respect of his colleagues but also lasting friendships built on trust and kindness.
Outside of work, Bill's greatest passion was soccer. Whether playing, watching, or coaching, the sport brought him boundless joy. He served proudly as President of the Lake Elsinore Youth Soccer League, where he mentored young athletes with encouragement that was both inspiring and firm. His deep knowledge of the game and commitment to sharing it left a lasting mark on the local soccer community and shaped the lives of countless players.
Bill will be remembered as loving, friendly, and endlessly funny. His contagious laughter and lighthearted spirit could brighten any room, and his gift for making others feel welcome made him unforgettable. At the same time, his strength and steady guidance served as a model of integrity for all who knew him.
As we say farewell, we celebrate a life well lived-one defined by devotion to family, integrity in work, and joy in the simple moments. Though Bill has left this world, his legacy of love, mentorship, and passion will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
