Let's see: Where to start. Bill was the closest thing to an older brother I would ever have. We lived next door to one another in Cincinnati. He was three years my senior. Bill and his dad loved to play the first lawn darts game, in their back yard, called "Jarts" back in the '60s. When time permitted, we would convene in my back yard and play two-man wiffle ball from dawn to dusk. He was so proud of his varsity letters in Track at West High. The ole' boy could really run back in those days. I was proud to be an usher in Pat and Bill's wedding. He also was an usher in my wedding. Bill got such a kick out of me being married in the small, rural town known as Bardstown, Ky. that he decided to dress the part by wearing a pair of overalls, over his suit, to the rehearsal dinner. I was fortunate to be able to attend Becky and Lee's wedding in South Bend in 1998. Alas.....that event was the final time Bill and I actually saw each other in person. So many memories, all good. A few of them involved that little four letter work called "beer". Well....after all.....,,his dad worked at Wiedemann for forty years. Oh....the nights we spent shooting pool in my basement with beer and Bob Shreve, the Schoenling All Night Theater, and the Three Stooges. Utterly enjoyable nonsense!!

Bill was a great brother-in-law. I had the pleasure to know him for 52 years. He was a fun and likable guy with a sometimes dry sense of humor. Jim and I will miss him as well as our childrenRita ,Dan, and Evie would loved their favorite Uncle Bill.
