William Edward Hourihan, 43, of Hamilton died Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Capital Health System at Fuld, Trenton, NJ. Born in Elizabeth, he spent the early part of his life in Roselle and Rahway before moving to Hamilton in 1971. Bill was a graduate of Steinert High School, Class of 1984, where he played soccer, football, and ran track. He was an honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran serving from 1986 to 1990 during which he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and became an expert Marksman. For the past 10 years, Bill was employed with Hewlitt-Packard as a Disaster Recovery Expert and prior to that he was employed with UPS for many years. Bill was a member of OLS-St. Anthony's Parish and the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Msgr. Crean Division I. Grandson of the late William P. and Edna M. Hourihan, and Edward J. and Elizabeth B. Dohoney and nephew of the late Thomas W. Hourihan, he is survived by his parents, Peter G. and Elizabeth D. Hourihan of Hamilton; his two sisters, Nancy H. Gartenberg and her husband Steven J. of Princeton Junction, and Tracy K. Hourihan and her partner Robert C. Woodward of Yardville; his two brothers, Peter J. Hourihan and his wife Elizabeth A. of Stratford, and Christopher S. Hourihan and his wife Frances M. of Woodbridge, VA; his six nieces and nephews, Samuel, Cate, Emma, Ethan, Maria, and Sean; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3816 East State Street Ext., Mercerville, NJ 08619. Cremation will follow at Ewing Crematory, Ewing, New Jersey Relatives and friends may call 2-4 & 7-9pm Monday at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bill's memory to Princeton Animal Shelter, 900 Herrontown Road, Princeton, NJ 08540, www.savehomelessanimals.org. or Martin House, 792 East State Street, Trenton, NJ 08638, www.martinhouse.org
