Mr. William "Bug" Howard

In humble submission to the Will of God, Miller Funeral Services and Crematory sorrowfully announce the earthly departure of Mr. William "Bug" Howard, 61 of Selma, AL.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. from Figtree Living Word Church, 317 County Road 1 N, Jones, AL. Burial in St. Matthew's Church Cemetery, with Minister Barbara Howard Officiating, and Pastor J. C. Vinson Church Pastor.

Mr. William "Bug "Howard was born May 6, 1964, in Autaugaville, Alabama, to Mr. Lazarus Howard Sr. and Mrs. Katie Bert Howard. William was employed with Dobbins Cosby for several years as a caring and hardworking farm worker. In his early years, William was a member of St. Matthew Church in Autaugaville, Alabama, and later became a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Burnsville, Alabama, under the leadership of Rev. Frank Smith. William attended Autaugaville High School, class of 1982, and was known as a friendly and easy-to-speak-with classmate. William "Bug" enjoyed playing baseball, horseshoes, and crossword puzzles, as well as fellowship with his family and friends. On December 23, 2025, Willian took his wings at his son's home at 313 Cedar Drive, Selma, Alabama, under the care of Southern Care Hospice.

Williams leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of twenty-eight years, Mrs. Veola LeShore Howard. Six sweet children, Mr. Stewart (Jasmine) Wilson, Ms. Vanessa Flennory, Ms. Cheryl Perry, Mr. Roderick (Aisha) LeShore, Ms. LaShonda LeShore (deceased), Mr. Patrick (Barbara) LeShore. Twenty grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Mrs. Mary * (Reginald) Price, & Daughter, Ms. LaShonda LeShore. Time promised healing, a balm for my grief. Yet days turn to months, and relief is but brief. Your laughter, your warmth, now memories so dear. In the quiet night, I wish you were near. Each tick of the clock, a reminder you're gone, yet in my heart's chamber, your love lingers on.
