On September 20, 1942, he married Betty Mae Danks in the Logan Temple. They made their home in Idaho Falls for two years, and then moved to Boise where they raised their seven children, Michael, Barry, Gregory, Tamara, Judy, Heather, and April. Bill worked in staff and supervisory positions for Idaho Employment Security Agency, and later as Representative and Director of the U. S. Office of Veterans Affairs for Idaho. Betty passed away May 17, 2000.

On November 25, 2000, he married Vida Mae Waite in the Boise Temple. Bill and Vida lived between Kamiah and Lehi, UT for ten years. Bill moved to Idaho Falls in 2010.

An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bill served as Bishop of the Boise 16th and 21st Wards and served on the Boise North Stake High Council for eight years. He served full-time missions to San Antonio, Texas, and San Diego, California, at the Mormon Battalion Visitor's Center. He enjoyed music and skiing and had a lifelong love of saddle horses.

Bill is survived by his son, Greg (Vicki) Hulet of Island Park, ID; daughter, Tammy (Jon) Wood of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Judy (Michael) Fluckiger of Highland, UT; daughter, Heather (Rody) Cummings of Boise, ID; daughter, April (Jack) Dees of Twin Falls, ID; sister, Barbara (Dean) Call of Washington, UT; 31 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren.
