William James Obituary
Terry was born on November 23, 1952, in Atlanta, GA. He graduated from Jonesboro Sr. High in 1970. Terry loved cars and worked at General Motors and was a Bodyman at Southlake Ford and at Kozma's Body Shop in Altha. In his younger years, he loved drag and dirt-track racing. Terry's first love was always fishing, whether it was pond, lake or deep-sea fishing, he loved the thrill of the catch. Keela was his "angel," and he loved spending time with her, especially riding around their property on their Kawasaki Mule.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents, William Ira James, III and Thelma Louise Fowler James; his aunts, Linda Farley, Jackie Parris and Virginia Ray; uncles, Bill Fowler and Steve Fowler; and cousins, David Ray, Michael Johnson and Garnet Parris.
Left to treasure his memory is his wife of over 13 years, Keela Mia James; daughters, Heather Coley (Jimmy), Jennifer Davis and Samantha Sanderson (Cecil); son, William "Andy" James; grandchildren, Hannah Cox (Wade), Gage Coley (Maddie) and Iris Sanderson; step-mother, Shirley James; sister, Wanda James; step-sisters, Sharon Chason (Richard), Sheryl Branning (Lee), Robin McDaniel; nephews, Dustin "Dusty" Duffey (Lori), Tyler Smith and Christopher Claghorn; aunts, Evelyn Johnson, Beverly Fowler and Pam Fowler; cousins, Wayne Fowler, Dixie Brookins, Russell Fowler, Rebecca Douglass, Dawn Sumner, Tim Ray, Chris Ray, Ginny Lynne Lenning, Tony Wilhoit, Peggy Wilhoit and Carletta Cannon; friends, Steve Kozma and Joe Griffin; and beloved dogs, Peanut and Buddy.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Page Pond Assembly of God in Altha, with Pastor Jordan Springer officiating. He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at James Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Page Pond Assembly of God.

I have had the pleasure of working with Mr. Terry James for the past three years at Kozma's Auto Body. I am greatly saddened by the fact that time has ended so soon. I can't say enough about Terry as a person. He was "one of a kind". You never saw Terry mad or upset. He would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it and asked. He was genuine. He was a book of knowledge when it came to autobody repairs. Terry was an avid fisherman and had a deep love of fishing. Terry will be missed and loved so very much for the rest of time by his family here at Kozma's Auto Body. Rest easy Terry, we love you!!!!!!!
