William Jean-Michel was born on April 2, 1919, in Jean-Rabel, Haiti, he was the son of the late Gedeon Jean-Michel and late Agathe Saintvil and died peacefully on July 16, 2024, at the blessed age of 105. William was surrounded by his family.
That day also marks the solemnity of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
William worked tirelessly as a masonry worker in Haiti before emigrating to the United States in 1984, where he worked faithfully for Brockton Hospital until his retirement.
A faithful servant of God, and a long and proud member of the Haitian Catholic community of Christ the King.
William was a man who lived with conviction and fidelity, his faith in our Lord and his attachment to his Catholic Church and his devotion to La Sainte Famille.
Blessed with his 105 years of existence, William marked his community with his simplicity, his wisdom and his spirit of brotherhood. A practicing Catholic, a passionate, dedicated, attentive and respectful man of the faith, he saw himself as a pioneer, an advisor and a teacher who never missed any opportunity to share the word of God with others.
Certainly, his departure left a void for both the entire community, friends and most importantly, his family. But because he always loved and his love spread throughout the world, we can comfort ourselves with this truth: "that he always lives", because love never dies.
William leaves behind a legacy, one his children and grandchildren with many great grandchildren will continue to live with.
William leaves behind a faithful servant of God-his wife Marie Irese Jean-Michel, two daughters, Maryse Jean-Michel, Agathe Blot, a son Malenkow Jean-Michel.
Several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and one Great-Great grandchild. All who will miss him very deeply.
William leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife Marie Irese Jean-Michel.
His daughters Mona Toussaint (late), Maryse Jean-Michel and Agathe Blot.
His sons Widneer Jean-Michel (late) and Malenkow Jean-Michel.
