William J. Jones, 79, of McDonald, OH, passed away on Saturday, April 19th, 2025 in Select Specialty hospital in Boardman, OH.
William was born on March 14th, 1946 to William and Florence (Walters) Jones in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He was a graduate of the Wilkes-Barre Business College, and he went on to attend Dyke College in Cleveland, OH.
William served in the United States Navy in Vietnam, aboard the USS Long Beach. He was honorably discharged after 4 years of service.
He then went on to his career at Valley Industrial Trucks, where he retired after 39 years as a sales coordinator and outside salesman.
After retirement, William volunteered with Trumbull Mobile Meals, delivering food to shut-in's in the Brookfield and Hubbard areas. He was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Niles, OH.
William is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Anne (Zavodny) Jones; his daughter, Christine (Jeff) Yoder; and his son, Todd (Tammie) Jones. He also leaves three grandchildren, Daniel Yoder, Savannah Jones, and Scott Jones.
William's family will gather for services in private.
