William F. Jones

William Francis Jones, Jr. passed away peacefully October 19, 2025. He was 66 years old.
Although a failing heart took him away from this world, he will be in our hearts forever. Bill worked for General Dynamics Land Systems division as a driver mechanic and mechanical engineer. He also worked for National Broach. There was almost nothing that would break that Bill couldn't fix.
Bill was also a gifted athlete, playing baseball, football and hockey as a young man. He continued to played hockey as an adult on leagues. From a young age, Bill exhibited a lot of talent in the arts. He loved music and painting, and he was a green thumb gardener. As a kid he loved drawing and woodworking. As a young adult and throughout the rest of his life his interests were turned to his true passion: the restoration of classic cars. He loved this above anything he had ever done. He will be missed dearly by all that truly knew him and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Francis Jones, and mother, Laura Swanson (Contrastato). He is survived by his soul mate and life partner Sandie Crane, his two sons William Frances and Steven, grandson Aidan, his brother Steven Jones (Kim), sister Laurie Kalugar (Mike), and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks, Clawson, Saturday, October 25, 2025, 3pm. Visitation will take place Noon-3pm.
Committal Services will take place privately.
