It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of Donovan “Don” Jones, a much-loved son, grandson, brother, fiancé, and friend, who left us on October 24, 2025, in Redondo Beach, California. Don was born on January 20, 1987, in Houston, Texas, and lived a life marked by kindness, humor, and genuine care for others.
Don worked for many years in sales, customer service and retention, where he made a lasting impression with his easygoing nature and the way he treated everyone with respect. He had a gift for conversation—people were drawn to him because he listened, laughed easily, and made them feel seen.
He earned an Associate’s degree in Audio Engineering and music was a huge part of who he was—he loved playing the drums and always had a rhythm and energy that filled the room. He lived life to the fullest, always up for an adventure or a new experience.
His greatest joy came from the people he loved—his family, his friends, and his fiancé, Paige Elizabeth Digiovanni, who stood by his side through life’s ups and downs.
He is survived by his parents, William B. Jones and Lisa Rodriquez, his sister Kerri Guidry, his grandfather Ignace Trahan, and several nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Don. He was preceded in death by grandparents Mary Trahan and Audry Jones, whose memory he held close.
Don will be remembered for his humor, his loyalty, and his big heart. He didn’t just talk to people—he connected with them. The way he made others feel will remain his greatest legacy.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Don’s life will be held at Ridgewood Church, 2920 Lake Arthur Drive in Port Arthur, Texas on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Dustin Guidry will officiate.
