William Lee Jones JR

William "Billy" Lee Jones Jr, age 61, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital at St. Thomas West, with advanced congestive heart failure. Billy was born on February 22, 1964, in Beech Grove, Indiana to the late Shirley Vinson Jones. He joined the US Army Reserves when he was 17 years old and received an Honorable Discharge on February 7, 1990. He was a Police Officer for 10 plus years. He grew up in Scottsville, Ky. He was a wonderful Husband, Dad, Stepdad, and Granddaddy. He was Our Hero. Dedicated to his Family, always. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Vinson Jones. He is survived by his loving wife of 26-1/2 years, Connie Gillahan Jones. Also, they each had children, so it was a blended family. He is also survived by children; William Grant Jones (Jessica), Michael Jones (Heather), Katherine Jones Porter (Adam), Breeanna Allgood Swadley (Jack), and Bradley Allgood (Marissa), eight grandchildren; Trip Swadley, Mary Kate Porter, Nova Jones, Cora Swadley, William Arthur Jones, Marshall Porter, Gibson Brooks, and James Johnson. Also, surviving are his siblings; Robin Jones Severtson (John), Timothy Jones, and Chris Jones (Heaven). Funeral Services will be conducted at Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth St., Ashland City, TN, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Derek Wright. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 2 PM. Burial will follow at EverRest of Cheatham Memorial Gardens, with family serving as Pallbearers.
