My name is Alex Viscidi. I hired on at CSX in July of 2006. My work reporting area was Elsmere DE. That's where I met Bill. Bill taught and showed me so much about RailRoading and I'm eternally Grateful to him for it! We worked side by side and or course laughed also! I watched him accel in his career. From him being basically Dave Lackford's right hand man to a Roadmaster in Baltimore to safety instructor. I loved his genuine talents of building things. Examples, the trailers he built for his motorcycles. my kind of humor and creativity!!! When Bill annouced he was sick, all of his coworkers took very hard. He was always the soldier ready to fight any problem big or small. He told us all at a safety meeting that he's ready to fight this .... and that he did, Valiantly. I would ask him if he needed a hand with either unloading or loading his stuff for the safety meetings, or I would just pick the stuff up, especially on the days he was struggling. Bill never complained about how he was feeling. he fought till the end and was and still is an inspiration to me. May you RIP my Friend. We all miss you so much!!!!

I know that it is a part of life that we all have to endure, but it never gets any easier saying goodbye to people we spend time with and enjoy. Bill was one of those people. We did not work together every day but were on a lot of the same jobs over the years and had quite a few conversations about railroading and Harleys and what we did last or what we would be doing the upcoming weekend. When he took the Safety Training job we saw each other only a few times a year but with his personality he made them much less boring. I never got to meet his family but my hope is that they have great memories like I do that make their loss a little less painful. I am proud to call him friend and railroad brother and maybe some day we can take a few rides on the bikes together. Rest In Peace Bill.

I was bills assistance roadmaster in Baltimore with csx back in 08, the man was great to work for and I enjoyed his friendship. I just found out today about his passing and it really hit me hard, the world won't be the same with out him. From one veteran and railroaded to another, god bless you bill .

Aw Bill. My buddy. You made coming to work so much more fun. I will miss us trading candy, you with your Starbursts and me with the chocolate. I will miss laughing about the blueberry muffin incident and our morning conversations about the weekends adventures. Every year you helped me pick out safety boots that didn't look too "man-ish" :) You always had a smile, a story or an antidote and you just brightened everyones day. You loved your family and you were always ready to tell me how proud you were of each of them and how lucky you were- and you were right!
I miss you buddy & I always will.
May God Bless your loving family.

This is one thing I am definitely not good at, as good people always seem to be the ones called above to protect us. And when they are it leaves a pain in all they have touched. I am honored to have met Bill, Jenn, Nicole, and Billy. Although out of touch for a bit there have been many thoughts. I pray that the angels will take Bill by their sides and allow him to look over us all.

Oh bill what can I say. The guy with the biggest smile telling me you liked my smile. My heart swelled that day because of your kindness. I can't say how sad it makes us that you have left this life but I know you are with our great father in heaven. Your never to be forgotten. We love you. I hope my smile reached you and I thank you for making me feel pretty.god bless

To Bills family, I was one of Bills coworkers at CSX , Wilsmere Yard. I remember the day he was hired. He rode with me that first day in the dump truck to the job site. He was a great guy, great worker. Yep, he was a pistol and fun to work and be with. So many fond memories of him. Peace to all of his family and friends. RIP Bill.

My friend you will always be in my thoughts and prayers. The times we worked together and the fun we had on and off the job are times that meant so much to me, knowing that if I ever needed you and Jenn, you would be there in a heart beat. One day we will be laughing together again. Surely missed my friend but never forgotten . Love ya Brother, Rip

To Bills family, I'm a co worker at CSX. Started working with Bill in 2006. He was always informative and kind. We became friends through the past 11 years. Also looked forward to the safety classes. Talking about the funny stories we've had. God Bless him and your family at this time and forever!
