William "Bill" Richard Kase, 71, of Elmwood Park, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born at St. Mary's in Passaic and raised in Clifton, Bill spent all of his life in New Jersey, where he built not just a home, but a lifetime of friendships and memories.

Bill was the kind of person who left an impression on everyone he met-kind, quick-witted, and fueled by a work ethic that was second to none. He dedicated 35 years of his career to Frito Lay and 38 years at the Meadowlands Track, where the work was meaningful, but the friendships meant even more. He not only loved his co-workers, but enjoyed engaging with all those that came to his window.

During the summer when he wasn't working, you could find Bill down in Lavalette, soaking up the beach sun and initially enjoying time with his beloved nephews Mark and John in his role as the ever-fun "funcle" before becoming a dad himself. He also loved hiking with his dog, Teddy, and finding peace on the trails, taking in the fresh air and quiet moments. He also loved all his cats over the years, particularly Weazer, Gidget and Chewy. He was also a huge fan of the Mets and Devils.

Bill leaves behind his sons, Sean and Doug; their wives Liz and Jordan, his daughter, Jordy; his cherished grandson, Wesley, and his sisters Janet and Patricia. He will also be deeply missed by all members of his extended family, including his former wife, Bindy, who stood by him and coached him with love and determination throughout his illness. His circle of friends, both old and new, will remember him for his humor, his warmth, and the way he made everyone feel welcome.

In honoring Bill's life, we celebrate a man who worked hard, laughed often, and loved deeply. His presence will be missed, but his stories, his laughter, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
