William James "Bill" Keeley

William James Keeley, 84, of Graford, Texas went to be with his loving Father on August 26th, 2022. He passed peacefully in the home he shared with his beloved wife and dog.
William (Bill) was predeceased by his father, Harry Keeley, his mother, Margaret Keeley, his brother, Harry, and sisters Margaret and Mary. He is survived by his wife, Mary, his children, Cecilia, Monica, and Harry; and he had the honor of being grandfather to 7 and great-grandfather to 7.
Bill was born in Bay Shore, New York. He moved to California to attend college, choosing California for the better climate needed for his father's health. After graduating from Cal Poly with his Bachelor's degree, he received his Master s degree from the University of Southern California. It was after graduation that he met Mary Finnegan through his church youth group. They married and she was the one love of his life, his sweetheart, from their wedding in 1963 til the day he left to be with his loving Savior.
A deeply spiritual person, Bill was always involved in the parish of the local Catholic church. He was a youth group leader, lay minister and always a go-to person for getting things done. While living in Fort Worth, Bill and Mary purchased a home at Possum Kingdom Lake. The home then became a place for family gatherings, summer fun and it became his full-time home after retiring in 2002 from a long career as an Aeronautical Engineer.
Retired life was dedicated to home projects, serving his local church, Saint Francis of Assisi in Graford, helping his family and neighbors, and working with Charlie s Angels ministries. Bill served as a lay minister, music coordinator and song leader and handyman. He also joined the Ministerial Alliance of Possum Kingdom as a representative from their church.
He will be deeply missed by his family, fellow church members, friends, and the Possum Kingdom Lake community.
Rosary will be held 6 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2022 with visitation following till 8 p.m. at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Graford, Texas.
