William Thomas Kendrick, Jr.

William Thomas “Pappy” Kendrick, Jr., 67, of Oakfield, GA, passed away at his son’s home on February 27, 2026. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 2, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home. Mr. Ross Powell will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.

Tommy was born in Macon GA on November 24, 1958 to the late William and Irma Kendrick, Sr. He grew up at Lake Sinclair and Butler, GA. He moved to Albany, GA in his 20’s and traveled on the road as a heavy equipment operator. Tommy moved to Lee County, GA in 1980 and was employed with Oxford Construction Company for many years and retired from Albany Landscape Company.

Tommy enjoyed riding his ATV and his cutting horses. He loved old country music and joking and having fun.

Survivors include his sons, Tommy (Valerie) Kendrick and Horace (Amber) Kendrick all of Leesburg, GA, his daughter, Susan Nicole Kendrick of Worth County, GA, his sisters, Anita Pulliam of Taylorsville, GA, Wanda Kendrick of Lake Sinclair, GA and Teresa Williams of Forsyth, GA, his grandchildren, Bailey Brown of Albany, GA, Halee (Nick) Chapman of Colquitt, GA and J.R. Smith of Newton, GA, Davey Hancock and Mason Hancock both of Worth County, GA, Tyler Henderson and Kylie Henderson of Leesburg, GA, his great-grandchildren, Jayce Chapman, Ryder Chapman and Rayla Chapman, a niece, Janie Kendrick, a great-niece, Stormy Kendrick and a great-nephew, Koltyn Kendrick.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 om until 2:00 pm before the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
