William Koeck Obituary

Bill married Kathleen Lambeseder on October 15, 1960 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. The two of them ran a successful family diner in Mayville, Wisconsin for 26 years before retiring from their business. Koeck's Restaurant was the local hangout for many generations of high school kids, local workers and the residents of Mayville.
Bill enjoyed so many things. Bird watching and squirrel watching from the porch was a favorite pastime. A long chat with Bill on the porch was enjoyed by many. Stories about how to grow your grass, tales about his time in the army and various jobs over the years. His favorite stories were about his family. He filled Evergreen Campground with his homemade bird houses. He hated the cold and loved his time at their home in Florida.
Bill is survived by son Joseph (Laurie) Koeck, daughters Mary (Jeff) Schwarze and Jacquelyn (Louie) Koeck, grandchildren Nicole Apollo, Christina (Trey) Mitchell, Brad Schwarze, Laura (Dakota) Tatum and Taylor Koeck, great grandchildren Hudson, Mercedes, Baylee, Caden, Sarae, Texas, California and Colorado, great great-grandson River and great great-granddaughter Locklynn. He is further survived by sister Joyce Dawald and brother Jim Koeck, many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen and his brother Richard.
SERVICES: Bill's relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation to Zacherl Funeral Home, Fond du Lac, on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum – Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac at 2:00 p.m.
