Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hallowell & James Funeral Home - Countryside on Jan. 19, 2026.
William (Bill) Frank Kosinski passed away peacefully in his home late on Wednesday, January 14 th with his wife and daughter by his side, after a long battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife Margaret (nee Radogno), daughter Annie (Bill Barranco), cherished granddaughter Violet, brother Jim (Tammy), brothers-in-law Nunzio (Christine), John (Vicki), Frank (Elda), Andy, and Christopher, and numerous nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by his son Michael, his parents, Frank Kosinski and Adeline (nee Rapala), and brother-in-law Joe (Randi).

Bill enjoyed his time playing trumpet and guitar in several bands during his younger adult years and cheering on the Chicago Bears and White Sox. He took great joy in coaching his son's soccer teams, attending his daughter's orchestra concerts, and becoming a grandfather.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Greater Chicago Food Depository or the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.

January 26, 2026

On behalf of the Greater Chicago Food Depository, we extend our deepest condolences to the Kosinski family and all who loved Bill.

Bill´s life was clearly filled with devotion - to his family, his community, and the many people whose lives he touched. His love for music, his joy in cheering on Chicago´s teams, and the pride he took in supporting and encouraging his children and granddaughter reflect a life lived with generosity and heart.

We are honored and sincerely grateful that contributions made in Bill´s memory will help provide meals and hope to our neighbors facing food insecurity. This meaningful gesture is a powerful tribute to his legacy of care and compassion.

We hold your family in our thoughts during this difficult time and wish you comfort and peace in the days ahead.

With heartfelt sympathy,
The Greater Chicago Food Depository
