William Dale Krebbs, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, Indiana. He was born on February 16, 1947, in Columbus, Indiana.

A man who dedicated over 35 years as a truck driver, William possessed an unyielding love for the open road, where he found freedom, adventure, and the thrill of the journey. His career was not just a job; it was a passion where every mile was marked by stories and experience, all imbued with his attention to detail and an innate sense of care. His loving and fun personality shone brightly, offering warmth to those around him. He was forever the one to lend a helping hand, extending support to anyone in need—a gentle spirit among us, celebrating life in its simplest and grandest moments.

William’s commitment to serving his community was exemplified in his long-standing role as a member of the Freetown Volunteer Fire Department, where his dedication was met with the respect and admiration of many.

His educational journey culminated in 1965 when he graduated from Brown County High School, where he laid the groundwork of a life defined by cherished values, including his Christian faith, which guided him through both trials and triumphs.

A true outdoorsman at heart, William found solace in nature, whether he was fishing by a tranquil lake or cheering fervently for his favorite NASCAR drivers. Each adventure beckoned him, allowing him to embrace the beauty of the world that surrounded him and share those passions with loved ones. His children and grandchildren were often his partners in exploration, reveling together in the joys of fishing trips and family gatherings under the open sky.

He leaves behind his loving daughter, Shana Perko and her husband Brian of Freetown, Indiana, along with his cherished grandchildren, Ashley Dendo and her husband Cory and Cody Perko also a sister, Beverly Newedde and her husband Ronald of Elizabethtown, Indiana. In the heart of his family lies the essence of William's spirit—a bond that transcends the boundaries of life and death.

William joins his beloved parents, Virgil Krebbs and Mina Mobley Krebbs, and siblings, including his brother, Kenneth Krebbs, as well as his sons, John and Randall Krebbs, in eternal rest.
