Wilcox Family Funeral Home & CrematoryWilliam Wayne Krisell, 71, of Greenbrier, AR, completed his earthly journey toward eternal joy and gained his heavenly reward on December 6, 2025, at his homestead—right where he wanted to be. He was born on September 11, 1954, in Hayward, CA to the late John W. and Willie Krisell.
Wayne was an Army veteran for many years. He grew up with dirt on his boots, faith in his heart, and a love for the simple things—family, hard work, and wide-open spaces. Wayne loved hunting and catching big o’catfish when he wasn’t cutting wood on his sawmill or creatively repairing the many things he tore up. He had a big heart for children, and children loved him. He was a friend and father figure to many.
Wayne was a wild soul who possessed bold confidence in his salvation through Jesus Christ. He was a living testament to the saving grace of our Heavenly Father, demonstrating God’s ability to love, cleanse, and welcome home those who call upon the name of the Lord.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Presley H. Krisell; his nephew, Stephen Tipton.
Wayne is survived by his boys, Ronnie Krisell, Scott (Becky) Krisell, and Lucas (Cally) Krisell; his grandchildren, Jay, Jacie, Madison (Tanner), Cole (Emily), Andrew (Madelyn), Austen (Audrey), Daisy, and Wyatt; his four great-grandchildren, Bentley, Wade, Holland, and Harvey; his sisters, Jessie Leona Jensen and Shirley Rogers; and many other family and friends.
There will be a memorial service held in Wayne’s honor on Friday, December 19th, at 10:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, with a visitation on Thursday, December 18th, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Wilcox Family Funeral Home.
