William "Bill" Carl Lemmon, 70, of Diamond, OH, passed away on January 7, 2026, at Portage County UH Hospital from health complications, battling cancer. He was born on January 27, 1955, in Akron, Ohio, to William A. and Janet Lemmon, and lived a life grounded in faith, family, hard work, and creativity.
Bill was a devoted father of three sons, Joshua, Andrew, and William A. Lemmon, and a loving spouse to Suzanne Lemmon. He was also deeply connected to his family, including Laura, Gary, and Tonya Lemmon, all of whom he cared for and supported in many ways. As a role model, he taught his children the value of integrity, perseverance, and hard work, sharing with them his love for building and real estate through countless projects and time spent learning and creating together.
A long-time friend and member of the Living Church of God and Tomorrow's World, Bill's faith was a central part of who he was and shaped the way he treated others with kindness and respect. His circle of friends included many from church and the local community, especially Mark and Patty Wells, Mikki Miller, and Kent Armintrout, whose friendships brought him encouragement and companionship over the years.
Bill was also a gifted and thoughtful artist, with an eye for detail and a talent for turning ideas into something tangible and beautiful. Whether he was sketching, designing, or building, he approached each project with patience, imagination, and craftsmanship, often finding ways to blend his artistic sense with his love of working with his hands. He found peace and joy in God's creation, spending much of his time exploring nature or working in his shop, often with his beloved cats, Marley and Bandit, close by as his quiet companions.
He especially loved the beach in Venice, Florida, where the sound of the waves, the warm Gulf breeze, and long walks along the shore brought him a special sense of peace and happiness. Time spent there with family and loved ones created memories that they will cherish forever.
Those who knew him will remember his gentle spirit, practical wisdom, and quiet dedication to his family, his faith, his art, and the work of his hands. He is survived by his spouse, Suzanne Lemmon; his sons, Joshua, Andrew, and William A. Lemmon; his family, including Laura, Gary, and Tonya Lemmon; and his many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William A. and Janet Lemmon.
