William Robert Lewis (Bill) 78, husband of Brenda Cantrell Lewis of Chesnee, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday February 14, 2026, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born July 7, 1947, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Hershel Ray Lewis and Maggie Blalock Lewis of Spartanburg, SC.

Bill loved his family, but he was a man of deep faith; he loved his church and his church family at Mayo First Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of American Legion Post # 48 in Chesnee, SC. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson with his biker friends and was a member of the Spartanburg Harley Owners Group # 5240. Among some of his favorite pastimes were traveling, camping with his camping buddies; and playing cards with anyone who was willing to sit for “well… all day". After many years of dedicated employment, Bill retired from Fluor-Daniel Construction Company as a Mechanical Estimator.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife, are his daughter, Trudi LeAnn Lewis Moore (Brian) of Wellford, SC. and grandson, Zachary Taylor Phillips of Valrico FL. Step-daughters, Candy Hinson (Greg), Kristie Holbert (Danny); step-grandchildren, Jeremiah Hinson (Caelynn), Jenna Hinson, Alixandra Morris (Elton), Andrew Cantrell, Merlin Cantrell (Libby); step-great grandchildren, Anna, Holland and Landon Morris, Tallulah Hinson. He loved and was loved by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Mollie Jean Tate Lewis.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 20, 2026, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Glenn Rusher. Military honors will be held by the United States Air Force.
