William Long Obituary
Funeral Services will be held at Whiddon Shiver Funeral Home on Sunday - January 11, 2026 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Josh Toomey officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Spence, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm in the funeral home Chapel. Pallbearers will be; Dustin Guntharp, Brad Braswell, Josh Long, Waylon Anderson, Benson Amara, and Michael Amara.
William was born on October 25, 1961 in Albany, GA, to the late Bobbie Lee Long and Barbara Jean Stone. He retired as a Truck Driver from US Express and was a member of the US Army.
He is survived by his daughters, Amber Rogers (Adam) of Meigs, GA, and Felicia Long of Tallahassee, FL, siblings, Cindie Craig (Ronnie) of Fort Mitchell, AL, and Bobby Long of Lake City, AK, nephews & nieces, Derek Craig of Washington, Thomas Craig of Headland, AL, Josh Long of Norman Park, GA, Brittnee Tillery of Doerun, GA, Brandi Delk of Sylvester, GA, Robert Long, and Zoey Long, grandchildren, Jayden Wilson, Addalyn Rogers, and Mattisyn Rogers, all of Meigs, GA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; his son, William James Long "Bubba", and a sister, Tammie Long.
