William Luk Obituary
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Al and Ray, and nephew, Al Jr.
William is survived by his wife, Sheila; four children, Colonel William Luk of Wayne, New Jersey, Robert Luk and wife, Pam of Rome, Georgia, Mary Jane Friedland and husband, Myles of Tampa, Florida, and Roger Luk of Raleigh; five grandchildren, Jessica, Richard and Preston Luk, and Coleby and Dawson Friedland; niece, Karen Wamser; nephews, Eric, Kristian, and Sean Luk.
He was a decorated veteran of three wars: World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. After his retirement he earned a masters degree from NCSU in sociology. He enjoyed cooking, running, reading biographies and history and a good glass of wine. Col. Luk was a man of principal and character. He was proud to serve his country, intellectually curious and quietly spiritual.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 8, 2010, at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 4523 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, North Carolina.

I was sorry to hear about your loss. I spoke with your father/husband and roger at the spa over the years. I have fond memories of Robert & I playing in the neighbor when we were young and helping william Jr. with his eagle scout project behind Brooks school.
