William Royce Luper

William Royce Luper, 69 of Winslow, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026 surrounded by family and loved ones at his home in the Sunset Community.  He was born October 22,1956 to Oren and Zelpha Wood Luper in Fayetteville, Arkansas. On April 15,1977, Royce married Karen Sue "Susie" Donaldson.

Royce was proud to spend his whole life on the family farm.  He raised chickens and cattle on the farm.  Royce enjoyed sawmilling, logging and trucking on the family farm.  He was active in the Winslow Assembly of God Church.  Royce enjoyed being part of the prison ministry where he would sing and play bass.  Later in life, Royce was known for calling people just to check in or have a conversation always sharing his gift of gab.  He was preceded in death by father, Oren Luper; mother, Zelpha Wood Luper; brother-in-law, Jerry DeVore.

Royce is survived by his wife of 48 years, Susie Luper; son, Shawn Luper and his wife, Candice; grandson, Devyn Luper; granddaughter, Gracen Luper Calhoun and husband, Noah of Elkins; two sisters, Rhonda DeVore of Winslow and his twin, Loyce Hall and her husband, Perry of Winslow; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Blackburn Community Covenant Church in Winslow, Arkansas with Brother Eugene Provence and Brother Perry Hall officiating.   Interment will follow at Parks Cemetery in Winslow. Pallbearers are Shawn Luper, Devyn Luper, Noah Calhoun, Matt DeVore, Shane Sample and Greg Biswell.
