William T. Lusk

Easley, SC

William Thomas “Bill” Lusk, 91, beloved husband of Nancy Geris Lusk, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, at his home.

Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late Samuel Hampton Lusk and Thelma Ione Lark Lusk.

After serving in the U. S. Air Force, Bill graduated from Clemson College with a degree in Electrical Engineering. In Virginia, he had a 33-year career in the Navy Department, Department of Defense. During that time, he was a plank owner in the Naval Electronic Systems Command. In retirement, Bill moved back to the farm in Easley, where he was born. There, he landscaped the property, worked with his tractor, and watched the wildlife framed against the view of the trestle crossing Georges Creek. He enjoyed traveling for fun compared to years of traveling for the job. Family was always a priority. He was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church, Greenville.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Nancy Lusk; daughter, Alison Ione Lusk of Cold Spring, KY; son, Matthew William Lusk, and granddaughter, Lark Virginia Lusk of Easley; two sisters, Winola Lusk Watt of Columbus, GA, and Freddie June Jewsbury of Easley; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Herbert Hampton Lusk, Sam Glenn Lusk, and sisters, Helen Lusk Cox, Hazel Lusk Miller, Mary Wanda Lusk, Frances Lusk Mercer, and JoAnn Lusk Allen.

A memorial service will be held at noon, February 19, 2026, at First Presbyterian Church, Greenville, 200 West Washington Street, Greenville, SC 29601, with the Reverend Dr. Richard Gibbons and the Reverend Dr. Claire Ripley officiating. Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. in the parlor. Burial will be at 2:00 PM in M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Turner Fund of First Presbyterian Greenville.
