William "Bill" Maggard

William "Bill" Maggard, age 78 of Germantown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the Astoria Health & Rehab Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 25, 1947, in West Carrollton, the son of the late Joe & Dorothy (Cantrell) Maggard.

Bill was a retired employee of Sorg Bay West with 30 years of service, and he was a member of the Cross & Crown Christian Assembly Church.

Preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Gail Darlene Maggard on July 24, 2022, and by his stepson Gary Goddard in 2017, his siblings Bertie Mae Alcorn, Virgie Jones, Pastor Johnny Maggard, his twin brother, Pastor Bobby Maggard and Pastor James Maggard.

He is survived by his 2 loving daughters Kim Muncy (Greg) and Traci Williams, stepdaughter Terri Walters (Eric), his brother Tommy Maggard (Shirley), 9 grandchildren Kasidy Depew (Chad), Kylee Ahlgrim (Blake), Madi Williams, Myles Williams, Kandi Tate (George), Brent Walters, Kaitlyn Walters (Nick), Tiara Goddard, Tyler Goddard (Ellie), 13 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Dalton Funeral Home, Germantown with his son-in-law Rev. Eric Walters officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (1 ½ hours prior to the service) on Thursday at the funeral home.
