In the words of the great Mark Twain, "The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time." I, William Martin, also known to friends as Bruce, lived my life fully, with an adventurous spirit and an ambitious mind. Born on April 30, 1960, in Montverde, Florida, I grew into a man who embraced life's challenges and found joy in simple pleasures.
In my professional life, I was a general laborer, dedicating years to the construction industry. My work was always carried out with integrity and a steadfast commitment, qualities I carried into my personal life as well. Off the clock, my adventurous side shone through in hobbies such as hunting and fishing. The great outdoors was my playground, and I cherished the tranquility it offered. More than anything, though, I was a compassionate and loving individual, someone who found the most happiness when surrounded by loved ones. As the saying goes, "The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return."
I, William, now rest in peace, having left this world on May 19, 2025. Though I never married, my heart was filled with love for those who were part of my journey, most notably my beloved mother, Dorothy Martin, who preceded me in death. I also was blessed by helping raising Danielle Jodoin who I call my daughter. I get to be with my first fianc Donna who passed away of brain cancer. I got be happy with Stefanie Masters who loved me like no other. My life was filled with laughter, love, and lessons learned, and I am grateful for every moment.
I hope my life serves as a reminder to live each day fully, to love deeply, and to always pursue your passions. My time in Morgantown, West Virginia, where I resided until the end, was filled with beautiful memories that I hope will live on in the hearts of those who knew me.
Please take a moment to share your memories and photos of me, William, on the memorial page. Your stories and pictures will serve as a beautiful tribute to the life I lived, and the man I was.
