William Whitefield Mauzy, 87, of the Pendleton Nursing Home in Franklin, WV and formerly of Hightown, died Wednesday afternoon, November 21, 1990 at Rockingham memorial Hospital of Harrisonburg.
He was born September 12, 1903 at Hightown, a son of Charles Kemper and Christena (Arbogast) Mauzy.
On January 23, 1933 he married Grace harper who proceeded him in death November 21, 1986. He was a member of the Union Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Caricofe of Staunton and Mary grant of McDowell; four sons, Charles and Robert, both of Staunton, Jack of Spring Grove, PA and John Mauzy of Churchville; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Mauzy was preceded in death by a son George Mauzy in 1979.
A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Richard Gibson. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Dareld Puffenbarger, Howard Rexrode, Bobby Caricofe, Bill, Larry and Mike Mauzy.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
