William Hartley "Bill" McCadden

William (Bill) Hartley McCadden, of Landsdowne, Pennsylvania, Delaware County, born on January 31,1929 in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, to the late Sally Graff, passed away at age 96 on July 30, 2025, in Bradenton, Florida, Manatee County. Bill was married to the late Barbara McCadden, and is survived by his sons, Kurt Louis McCadden (Maureen) and Mark William McCadden (Nancy); daughters, Laura Ann McCadden (Kathy) and Sharon Noel (Christopher), and grandchildren, Cameron and Brandon Noel, Morgan and William McCadden, Martha and Elizabeth McCadden. Bill was a "cold war warrior" who served honorably as a military policeman in the United States Air Force, stationed at Pepperrell Air Force Base, Newfoundland. Upon leaving the Air Force at the rank of Sergeant, Bill returned home to the Philadelphia area to start an extensive career in the Philly radio business. He culminated his career as the General Sales Manager for WCAU radio. Throughout his life, Bill was blessed with extraordinary friendships. He was an avid reader, movie lover and music aficionado. A Philly guy at heart, he was a lifelong fan of the Philly sports scene and longtime season ticket holder for his beloved Eagles. Bill was a humorous, generous, caring, and compassionate man who always held firm to his principles. He was a "good man" who will be missed every day, and his family and friends will be consoled by the privilege of having him in our lives. Bill's life will be celebrated privately by his loving family.
