Handsome Bill McConaghy was a wonderful, thoughtful man. I was sad to learn of his passing. I loved his bright, happy smile!
My family was originally from Ardmore, PA. Mr. McConaghy and his family, through McConaghy Funeral Home, handled all of my family's funerals with superb class and precision. I am glad Mr. McConaghy's sons are following his family's traditions. On behalf of the entire Carbine family, you have our deepest condolences.

To the McConaghy family, my sincere comfort to you with the loss of Bill. My family had the great pleasure of being next door neighbors, first of recent newlyweds Bill andCarol, then soon there, after their wonderful kids. I was in awe of him, imagine an adult who would take the time to shoot hoops with the 13 year old me. Do you think he took it easy on me on the court? No way. But he certainly taught me how to go to my left!! Always a gentleman, great sense of humor and very definitely one of my early role models. He has a permanent and endearing place in my memory. RIP, sir..

Dear Carol and family, We grieve with you on the earthly loss of Bill. We pray that the angels are giving him a warm welcome. He certainly earned it as a Christian role model and redemptive sufferer. I met Bill playing BB as high school seniors in Ocean City NJ. We played many pick-up games together, attended Villanova games and visited the Jersey Seashore. Bill introduced me to my first wife and he was a Groomsman at my wedding. I have deeply appreciated his friendship for 65 years and I consider it an honor to be his friend. Love to all, Bill and Joyce Brennan

Dear Carol and Family, I know you wouldn't remember me with my married name, I'm Donna, Patsy's daughter. I was so shocked today when my husband Gerry told me that Bill had passed away. I'm so sorry for your loss of Bill. He was like a Big Brother to me when I was very young. I know it's been years since I've seen you but every January 11th I think of my mom and Bill. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you.

When I was 15 years old my father sent me over The McConaghys to do a pall bearing job in a suit that was 10 times too big for me and plenty of pins to hold it up in the back and Mr. Mc Conaghy just laughed and told me to get in there and carry the casket he was genuinely one of the nicest guys Ive ever met in this funeral business and Im sorry to see him go yes but I hope to be just like him someday real nice laid-back man Who always said something nice and encouraging say to you especially is a youngster in this business
