William McCoy Obituary
William "Bill" was the first baby born in Leavenworth, Kansas in 1967, making his entry at 12:01 AM January 2nd and designating him as "1967 Baby New Year" for that city. He was the 6th of 7 children born to Vencie Everett and Gaile Marlene (Hoeltzel) McCoy.
Injured in an accident that damaged his spine in his mid 30's, Bill was disabled most of his adult life but maintained a strong and loving relationship with his family
Bill is preceded in death by his wife Rebecca, his father Vence, mother Marlene, step-mother Sharon, brother Charles and Sister Marla. He is survived by siblings Barbara Voelker of Olathe KS, John (Heidi) McCoy, Victoria (Gary) Baker, and Brian McCoy all of Kansas City, KS.
Also survived by Rebecca's children George, Deanna, "BJ", Rebecca and Patricia. He will be remembered lovingly by a large number of nieces and nephews.
Bill will be cremated and joined with his beloved Becky. The family will have a celebration of life at a date and place yet to be determined.
