William Stanley McKenzie

William Stanley McKenzie, age 40, of Grand Rapids, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023. He was born January 31, 1983 in Grand Rapids, the son of William J. & Brenda J. (Spalding) McKenzie. His passion was working on cars and he also loved working on various construction projects. He was very hard working and dedicated to whatever project he was working on at the time. He was working hard studying to get his mechanics license when he passed. He was an amazing human being, and was the who showed up when no one else did when someone needed help. He was happy to help anyone he could, when he could. He loved his family and was deeply loved by so many. He will be truly be missed. This world just won't be the same without him. William is survived by his son Brendan McKenzie of Plainwell; mother Brenda Abbott of Carson City; sister Jehnel McKenzie-Pore of Grand Rapids; niece Aaliyah McKenzie; nephews Mishon Pore Jr. and Cameron Pore and by his aunts Sheryl (Dave) Freeman of Crystal and Deberoh Blakely of Lowell. He was preceded in death by his father William J. McKenzie, grandmother Joan Spalding, aunt Teresa Schondelmayer and his uncle Bruce Blakely. Memorial services will be announced later.
