UPDATED VISITATION INFORMATION
William McVeigh a longtime resident of Maple Shade passed away peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2020. He was born in Elizabeth, NJ and was 82 years old.
Beloved and caring husband for 32 years to Antoinette McVeigh, and was loved and will sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Bill proudly served his country in the US Army, serving three tours of duty in Vietnam as a CW4, Gunship Commander, Mis Fit (China Syndrome). He was a commercial pilot having flown for Revlon, Malcolm Forbes, Dorrence (the Campbell Soup Family), and continued his career as a realtor for Weichert Realty in Moorestown and Century 21 Thomas Realty in Maple Shade. Bill was the president of The South Jersey Classic Corvette Club, having been an avid Corvette collector, restorer and show winner. Among many hobbies, he enjoyed golfing, building HO train displays, and designing homes. Bill was known for his Izod and button downs, and was an exceptional "Preppy" dresser. He took pleasure in telling a good joke and socializing with friends.
A VISITATION WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 25TH, 7-9 PM AT THE MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. FORKLANDING ROAD, MAPLE SHADE. Interment with Full Military Honors will be held privately in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Samaritan Hospice @Samaritannj.org
