She spent her career as an administrative assistant for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), but found her real calling in life as a grandmother. She was generous to a fault and never missed a birthday. Gerri maintained friendships for a lifetime; a tight group that would get together often for cards and dining out. Quiet times found her reading; when you left her house, she’d fill your trunk with copies that she had finished. If her T.V was on she’d probably be rooting for the Eagles. She was raised in Cramer Hill Camden and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High.
She was the mother of the late James (Janet) and Rosemarie (Eric) Hughes; grandmother of 6 and great-grandmother of 9.
